There is 1 aid station on the course for the 6-mile event (at approx. mile 3) and 2 aid stations on the course for the 11-mile event (at approx. mile 3 and 7). Exact aid station locations and mile markers are indicated on the course map. Water, electrolyte gels, and basic first aid supplies will be available at all aid stations. If you think you will require additional fluids or supplies on the course, we highly recommend that you carry some with you. Many parts of this course are remote and not easily accessible to offer additional aid stations. There are no restrooms on the course.
Bag Check
Bag check will be available at the race start. No valuables please.
Restrooms
Restrooms are available near the parking area. A few porta-jons are also available at the race start. There are no restroom facilities on the course.
Race Rules
Unregistered runners (pacers, companion runners, dogs, bandits) are not allowed. Replacement runners or bib transfers are not allowed. Breaking these rules is selfish. You are compromising not only your safety, but also the safety, enjoyment and future of the entire event. Anyone breaking these rules will be disqualified from this and future races. Headphones that are worn inside your ears are not permitted on the course.
Time Limits
This is trail run, not a hike or walk. Participants should be prepared to run or run/walk the distance they are registered for and to maintain a pace of at least 17 minutes per mile. If you are not able to maintain pace requirements, you may be asked to leave the course and/or you may not receive a finishing time.
Trail Etiquette
Please be aware that the race course is not closed to the public, so you may see campers, hikers, runners, and outdoor enthusiasts on the trail. If you need to pass them, or another runner, please do so at a point in the trail when it is safe to do so and say “passing on the left” in a loud, clear voice. For this reason, headphones are not permitted on the course. And of course, do not litter on the course. Please ensure all trash remains in close proximity to an aid station or carry it with you.
Awards & Timing
Awards will be given for the top 3 overall finishers (M/F) and the top masters finishers (M/F) in both the 6M & 11M. Participants will be contacted after results are finalized with information on how to pickup their award.
Chip timing will be provided by Bull City Running Co. and results will be posted on this website within 24 hours of the finish.
